About
I found Shanti Mission in 2008 after getting clean and sober a year or so before. I was reluctant to attend one of their Satsangs (gathering of truth seekers) as meditation was something I believed I could not do. I had a very busy mind and thought it would be way out of my comfort zone. I was persuaded by one of my dear friends to try it anyway and thank God for that, as it was the start of a whole new life for me. Shanti Mission is a school for the soul and it was there that I met my teacher, Shakti Durga. I had never met a Guru/spiritual teacher before and so at first I was a little unsure of the whole thing. It felt really good and yet my mind could not understand how I could love someone so much after only meeting her once. It was then that I learned about “soul family” and how we actually knew each other’s soul very well from spending many lifetimes together.
I started to wake up and after attending The Path of Ease and Grace with Shakti Durga my whole life started to change. There is something for everyone at Shanti Mission, whether its personal development, more truth, community, making a difference in the world, or soul realization and enlightenment. It is a place for your soul to learn and grow and to truly embody who you really are.
